Visit of Dutch journalists
Organized by the Croatian National Tourist Board offices in the Netherlands, a group of Dutch journalists as part of a study tour to Croatia visited the Riviera Paklenica.
The trip was organized to introduce the Dutch market with the Croatian offer and wellness to journalists be seven wellness destinations in the continental and the Croatian coastal region. In the area of Stari Grad visited the spa hotel Alan, last year’s winner for Best Blue flower indigenous wellness center in Croatia, after which they headed into a short tour of the National Park Paklenica.

Signed agreements to incorporate advertising 2010
In Zadar, yesterday organized the signing of the contract to incorporate advertising 2010, which was attended by representatives Starigradskih tourist companies - Municipal Tourism Office Starigrad, Hotel Alan dd and public institutions NP Paklenica, whose media plans in the value of EUR 33,897.00 accepted in this contest.
Joint advertising program implemented CTB in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Tourist Board System, and domestic and foreign economic entities. It’s about pooling the financial resources intended for advertising on the tourist market, which increases the volume of multiple advertising tourist destinations and individual subject, as individual advertising would not be possible, especially in smaller venues.
The area of the municipality Starigrad in this project include the Hotel Alan dd and JU NP Paklenica, kandidiravši media plan aimed at promoting an active holiday, protected natural areas, wellness offers, accommodation and other tourist potential of the Velebit area. Target markets are Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom and Spain, and the emphasis of the campaign is to increase tourist traffic and in the pre-season. TZO Starigrad participate in the project from 4237.13 EUR (12.5%).

Addressing the media which preceded the signing of the contract, Ivo Dunatov, director of the Zadar County Tourist Office, said the advertising campaign related to the low fares airline RyainAir, which involved a number of tourist operators from the Zadar County, and thanks to the continually increasing air connectivity with Zadar European cities, which affects the increase in the number of tourists. Thanks to the joint program this year, the value of advertising campaigns for Raynair is even 980,000.00 EUR.

In Zagreb, introduced first Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival
At yesterday’s press conference in Zagreb’s Hotel Regent Esplanade The public was first introduced Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival (SPFF) to be held 08th-14.kolovoza.Idejni founder and director of the project is to Zagreb TV producer Admir Ćulumarević. With him, the main participants in the project are Vinko Bresan as president of the jury in which there are still Zlatko Gall and Pierre Zalica, Mate Matišić as a selector and Eimear Quinn as president of the Art Council in which his company will make Arsen Dedic and Branko Djuric Duro.
At the Festival plans to show 30 feature and short documentaries, music by local and foreign authors, who will fight for the prize, “Velika Paklenica” and “Mala Paklenica”.
According to the Director of the Festival, the idea for this project arose from the fact that music dokumentarnci in the world have become very trendy genre, a Croatian festival could boost production of such films in Croatia and the region. He announced that the show films in attractive locations Paklenica National Park, while at the same time in various locations in and around maintaining versatile backing music program.
Starigrad Paklenica was selected for the position of events because of its attractive natural sites and rich history of film, since they are in the wider area of Stari Grad and the surrounding area recorded a number of domestic and foreign films.
On the question of whether Croatia is another film festival, stressed that the present places at other festivals are always full, and the same can be seen as a single cultural phenomenon. Unlike other similar festivals like ZagrebDox and DORF, a SPFF will be fully devoted to music documentaries and not limiting genre. Final answer to the question of the need for such a festival will give audiences already this summer.
Local community supported the project in order to enrich the tourist offer in their area and to improve tourist image, and eventually is expected and targeted visits of tourists during the Festival.

TIC Starigrad awarded in recognition of the best kept tourist information center
In this year’s campaign Zadar County Tourist Office and the list of Zadar, which is conducted as part of the campaign “I Love Croatia” - “Blue Flower” Croatian National Tourist Board, Tourist Board Communities Starigrad awarded the award for the best kept tourist information office in Zadar County.
As part of this action najzaslužnijim awards will be presented to individuals and organizations for achievements in several categories, from the arrangement of tourist sites as a whole to individual elements of the tourist offer (square, beach, garden of a private house, a tourist information office, souvenir and tourist interest, or ), all according to the criteria prescribed by the Croatian National Tourist Board. Thus the TIC arrangement rated facades and interior space, location, hours of operation, quality and variety of promotional materials, and services that TIC provides.
Ecological-educational campaign, “I love Croatia” includes, among other things, and kindergartens and primary schools that can compete for the best children’s art and literary work. O.Š.Starigrad participated in the operation of its student art work on my beautiful Croatia, at the county level and won first and third place. Award-winning works of students 3.GRADE school year 2008/2009. which the Zadar County Tourist Office grant awards with a gold and bronze emblem and gift packages, as well as schools which, along with gold awards and one bronze sign, and awarded a total of 12,000.00 Kn earmarked funds to support the work of art groups.

Presented tourist offer at the fair in Germany TOUR NATUR
Tourist Board Starigrad presented of 04 - 06.rujna offer active holidays at tourist fair TOUR NATUR which is the seventh year in a row, held in Dusseldorf, the capital of the German federal state of Nordrhein-Westfallen.
It is a specialized trade fair for hiking and trekking, which this year brought together 275 exhibitors from the 5000 hiking destinations, hiking equipment manufacturers, travel organizers and other providers of tourist services, visited by around 33,500 visitors.
Riviera Paklenica presented as a swimming-hiking destination surrounded by numerous national and nature parks with a diverse range of active holidays, which proved to be a winning combination. Thus, with the most numerous walkers and mountaineers, including visitors to the stand and found the fans climbing, cycling and others.
From the federal government in Croatia SUMMER around 18% of tourists, making it second in the number of German tourists, mostly traveling by plane and road transport. Minister of Tourism in S. Paklenica presented successful cooperation with the Cro. mountain rescue
Tourism Minister Damir Bajs 19.kolovoza met with representatives of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) in Stari Grad Paklenica-occasion successful implementation of the program to improve security, protection and rescue of tourists to areas outside the towns and public roads for 2009
