In Zagreb, introduced first Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival

At yesterday’s press conference in Zagreb’s Hotel Regent Esplanade The public was first introduced Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival (SPFF) to be held 08th-14.kolovoza.Idejni founder and director of the project is to Zagreb TV producer Admir Ćulumarević. With him, the main participants in the project are Vinko Bresan as president of the jury in which there are still Zlatko Gall and Pierre Zalica, Mate Matišić as a selector and Eimear Quinn as president of the Art Council in which his company will make Arsen Dedic and Branko Djuric Duro.

At the Festival plans to show 30 feature and short documentaries, music by local and foreign authors, who will fight for the prize, “Velika Paklenica” and “Mala Paklenica”.
According to the Director of the Festival, the idea for this project arose from the fact that music dokumentarnci in the world have become very trendy genre, a Croatian festival could boost production of such films in Croatia and the region. He announced that the show films in attractive locations Paklenica National Park, while at the same time in various locations in and around maintaining versatile backing music program.
Starigrad Paklenica was selected for the position of events because of its attractive natural sites and rich history of film, since they are in the wider area of Stari Grad and the surrounding area recorded a number of domestic and foreign films.
On the question of whether Croatia is another film festival, stressed that the present places at other festivals are always full, and the same can be seen as a single cultural phenomenon. Unlike other similar festivals like ZagrebDox and DORF, a SPFF will be fully devoted to music documentaries and not limiting genre. Final answer to the question of the need for such a festival will give audiences already this summer.
Local community supported the project in order to enrich the tourist offer in their area and to improve tourist image, and eventually is expected and targeted visits of tourists during the Festival.
