Lecture on preservation of traditional building skills in Starigrad
“Stone by stone - dry stone” title of the presentation will take place in Stari Grad Paklenica-13.listopada starting at 18.00h hotel Alan. The lecturer dr.sc.Aleksandra Faber, an archaeologist and ing.arhitekture, initiator initiatives for the conservation and protection of the law drywall construction and head of the national program “Stone, drywall construction and landscape of the Adriatic”.
Building stone walls is a tradition older than the millennium and recognizable element of the landscape along the Adriatic coast and islands. In addition to drywall, drywall characteristic elements of indigenous folk Adriatic Construction include traditional houses, mills, ruins, bridges, folds for treasure, and others, contain a special value Miriam-late memorial on Mt.
In order that this valuable part of Croatian cultural heritage, preserving and protecting the above-mentioned initiatives have joined the association “Suhozid” from Kolan, island Pag, Novalja, Kolan, Mali Losinj and support coming from other cities and municipalities.

Researchers Night 2010 in Stari Grad Paklenica
On Friday, 24.rujna in Stari Grad-Paklenica in Croatia in general and for the first time in a traditional international event “Night of the researchers. ” The event will be simultaneously held in 4 more cities in Croatia (Zagreb, Lepoglava, Korenica and Rab) and the program begins in Starigrad opening of the exhibition “Flavors of Science” in Bluesun Alan at 12.00h.

The aim of the event is to popularize science, especially among young people and encourage them to engage in science and research.

TZO Starigrad appeared on the tourist trade fair in Düsseldorf Tour Natur
For the second year in a row TZO Starigrad was performed at a tourism fair, which specializes in active holidays TOUR NATUR. The fair was held for eight years in Düsseldorf, the capital of the German federal state North Rhine-Westphalia, where it comes from about 20% of the total number of German tourists who spend their holidays in Croatia.
Natur Tour Fair will be held at the Caravan Salon, 9-day tourism fair intended for camping where it is occurring again this year and the Croatian National Tourist Board and who has even visited 170 200 visitors.
Riviera Paklenica is presented primarily as a “baden und Wandern” destination due to its positioning along the coast and near simultaneous Paklenica National Park with over 150 km of hiking trails. In addition, he presented the wide range of other activities such as climbing, rafting, canoeing and mountain biking as well as the richness and diversity of protected natural attractions in the immediate vicinity - the national parks and nature. TZO Starigrad booth was visited by the vice consul of the Consulate General of Croatia in Dusseldorf, with whom he agreed on further cooperation on promoting tourism in this part of Germany.

Velika Gospa celebration on August 15th
Traditionally, the pilgrimage to the highest plateau of Velebit great September and this year marked the Feast of the Assumption in the Municipality of Starigrad.

Completed Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival

Open Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival
