BOOKSTORE SHIP - SHIP OF CULTURE appeared in Stari Grad
For the second year in a row in Stari Grad is a guest boat bookstore-ship culture, a unique cultural tourism project that takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
This year’s program, along with the traditional commemorative book fair, contained plenty of amenities for children and adults. Thus, already at 18.00 began the creative arts, literary and dance workshops, and evening performances held on “The Heavenly Theatre” by Ludwig Bauer with Enes Kišević, Sara Kišević and Župarić bug in the lead roles. Music part of the rich Latin American rhythms of Cuban-Croatian band Caiman Verde and the many visitors to the waterfront with a fun dance steps of salsa, rumba and other Cuban dances.
During the tour in 2011 Boat bookstore will ship a total of 14 towns on the Adriatic promoting a culture of reading, representing the Croatian heritage and tradition and enriching time in a unique way of cultural tourist offer on Croatian Adriatic. It was a pleasure and an honor to be one of the hosts of this project.

A successful evening of Slavonia and Baranja
This weekend in the summer of cultural and tourist events in Stari Grad has been successfully held Slavonia and Baranja evening.

A record number of participants 9.Velebitskom trekking
With 345 participants gathered in Stari Grad Paklenica-weekend 9.izdanje Velebit trekking adventure racing is the most massive ever.
The competition was divided in up to 4 weight classes (Jogging 10 km, 27 km hiking, mountain 45 km Super and Ultra 100km) which enables the participation of all lovers of movement in the nature of tourists and recreationists to the most durable athlete. Velebit trekking was the main race of the season Trekking League, also the first Croatian Open Championship in trekking and is scored as qualifying races for the world’s most prestigious race Ultra Trail Mont Blanc 2012th In addition, the race has a memorial character because it is dedicated to all veterans on the battlefields of Velebit 1991.-1995.g..
With the start of the village of Stari Grad Marasović first started contestants Ultra categories who have had the hardest task - to overcome a total of 100 km Velebit challenging terrain to Karlobag 5.500m with the rise in 36-hour limit. Presented program 2 Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival

The jury of the Festival was presented by Danilo Serbedzija with the awards which will decide on Paklenici Deborah Young, Variety film critic and renowned lutenist Edin Karamazov. The musical program will be led by Zoran Predin, and electronic music lovers will enjoy the award-winning film and party Zagreb Astralis Institution.

Beach Bluesun Alan received the Blue Flag

Biodiversity Day Celebrated
On the day of open doors O.Š.Starigrad celebrated the day school program included a Day of Biological Diversity. Thus, students in lower grades with their teachers participated in a series of creative workshops.

Welcome.hr and 12.Međunarodni meet climbers together in Paklenica
The traditional meeting of climbers in the Paklenica National Park and this year held the competition in speed climbing big rocks - Big Wall Speed Climbing.
The meeting is open lecture Vladimir Mesaric, Hrvoje Lukatea and Branka Separovic the first Croatian alpinističkoj expedition to Greenland in 1971 followed by a festival of climbing films. The competitive part of the rocks of Paklenica’s victory in the women’s competition before the teams from Spain and the United States claimed Croatian climbing Sunčica Hrašćanec and Inga Patančić. Direction Karamara Sweet Temptations, 110m in length and weight 6a climbed by 14minuta 43sekunde and thus improved their last year’s record for 12sekundi direction. In men’s competition has ascended direction BWSC 160m in length, weight 6c + and fastest as he beat Mark Marasović from Stari Grad and Emil Mucko in Varazdin (23minute and 36sekundi). In addition, held the climbing competition for kids - Kid Speed climbing and were able to try the other visitors.
