Doors Velebit won gold “Sunflower Croatian rural tourism”
Farm gate Velebit owned by Sime Gazić Ljubotići the winner of the Golden Charter of the “Sunflower Croatian rural tourism. “
The action was organized by the professional association of club members and the company Croatian village farmer to promote rural tourism, rural tourism farms and rural areas in general. From a total of 84 registered projects from all over the Croatian selected 22 best programs in the preservation of Croatian origin and creation of rural tourism products in 5 categories - tourist rural economy, entrepreneurs in rural tourism, rural-tourism events, rural-tourism projects in rural and traditional cuisine. The most significant recognition in the area of Zadar County - Golden Charter tourism in the category of peasant farms - has just awarded to Sime Gazić OPG Doors Velebit. This economy is located in Ljubotići, Velebit hamlet a few miles away from Tribanj-Kruščica the Municipality Starigrad. With great care and enormous efforts Sime has renewed an old stone family house with her and edited etnokuću, apiary, tasting rooms and camping.

We invite all registered owners in the municipality to do Starigrad 07.veljače 2011 Tourist office in Starigrad shipping up to 10 photos for publication on building the web site of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
In preparation for the upcoming tourist season Croatian National Tourist Board, to update and complement the database of private accommodation on his official site www.croatia.hr. This will be already published basic data for each registered object update with photos.
In addition, all registered owners in the municipality Starigrad have the option of their facilities to include in the database of accommodation on the website TZO Starigrad which is active for several years.
Technical conditions for both types of publication are listed on the front page of this site, entitled “Catalogue of accommodation - info” and are available in the Tourist office Tourist office Starigrad.

From 25.-29 January in Zagreb Tuškanac Cinema Week held SPFF winner in 2010. which also began promoting second Published STARIGRAD PAKLENICA FILM FESTIVAL 06.-12.kolovoza 2011 in Stari Grad-Paklenica.
The audience will also have the opportunity to see award-winning films for Best Cinematography, screenplay and direction, for the improvement of music through the form of a documentary film and best film chosen by the audience and the jury’s assessment. After screening Mingling with music and surprise guests.
Call for feature-length music documentaries and short films for 2.SPFF is open until May 15, 2011 after which the program will be presented this year’s Festival.

read more...TZO Starigrad Fair Camping & Caravanning in Ljubljana
25.-From November 28 in Ljubljana on 8 Camping & Caravaning Festival where this year, as part of the stand the Croatian National Tourist Board, appeared and TZO Starigrad.
It is a specialized exhibition devoted to camping, which represents a significant segment of the tourism offerings in the Starigrad, where camps comprise almost 40% of the total accommodation capacity, and in them producing about 36% of total tourist nights. Slovenes of 30,000 nights in the first 9 months of this year achieved 10% of total foreign tourists in the Municipality of Starigrad a goal of presenting at the show was a further increase in tourist traffic to the Slovenian market, for which there are certainly prerequisites. These are close to, the combination of sea and mountain environment with a wide range of excursions and outdoor facilities, traditions, etc. While visiting the fair, overall attendance was slightly below what the Society was pleased with the interest of those present to offer visitors Paklenica Riviera. Apart from the camps expressed a distinct interest in the offer of active holidays, especially for hiking and biking trails. Within the fair organized by the HTZ-e was held in Ljubljana and business workshops attended by fifty Croatian tourist operators.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Vodice be held November 17 1.HRVATSKA festival pasta.
The festival has been in Central Dalmatia and the islands organized by newspaper publisher and editorial Robinson doo show “World of Food” at the IX Symposium of Gastronomy, Tourism and Food. Participants of the event were hoteliers, chefs, representatives of retail chains, manufacturers of pasta, equipment manufacturers, raw materials and raw pasta and others, and its products and equipment and presented to the Croatian company from Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
The Festival is presented fifty kinds of original pasta dishes with an emphasis on authentic recipes and held a dozen lectures.
With the area of the municipality Starigrad the festival participated Vicki commerce company Ltd. with a lecture on their experiences in introducing the Croatian pastry menu in the hotel and present the original pasta dishes. As the intention of the organizers in order to branding Croatian pasta make this traditional festival, following release was announced in March 2011 in Opatija.

This year, in Starigrad-Paklenica arrived three travel awards. Tourist Information Centre Starigrad for the second consecutive year was awarded recognition for the best kept TIC in Zadar County.
Decision was made by the Commission for “Blue Flower” in assessing the tidiness of tourist sites and the individual elements that Zadar County Tourist Office in cooperation with Zadar list in the action in accordance with the criteria of the Croatian National Tourist Board.
In TIC as a single element assessed the appearance (facade, window displays, signs, signals), location, quality and variety of promotional material and services that TIC provides.
Furthermore, Hotel Alan d.d. won the award for best Croatian camp in category “Simpatia e Ecologia” as voted by readers of the magazine “Il Campeggio Italiano” Italian Association of campers. This association was founded in 1950, now has 21 000 members and the magazine has a circulation of 25,000 copies. The contest for the best camp conducted over the past 6 years in a way that the magazine’s readers rated the camps in Italy and Croatia in two categories: “Simpatia e Qualità“and “Simpatia e Ecologia”.
In neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in turn for the selection of the best manager for the Southeast and Central Europe. Recognition for 40 business people, companies and organizations that, among 2326 nominees, chosen by a jury of the Directorate of the Agency for Selecting the Best Manager of BiH, the South Eastern and Central Europe, were presented with the participation of representatives of institutions and enterprises from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatian, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Turkey, Austria and Bulgaria. In the category of small and medium enterprises in the sector of tourism is one of the prize was given to Zoran Katic, director and co-owner Vicki hotel for a long tradition of hospitality and tourism, and continuous successful operation.
Constituent Assembly meeting held TZO Starigrad
On the basis of the new tourist communities and the promotion of Croatian tourism (NN 152/08) in Stari Grad Paklenica-held inaugural sessions TZO Starigrad.
Under the new Statute for the Community which has received approval from the Ministry of Tourism Assembly of the Union was composed of 21 members and a representative group of members of the Community pursuant to participation in community income. So Alan d.d. Hotel has 8 representatives (Jolene Petricevic, Jure Tomić, Parić Nikola Tomic Simon, Sikic Neven, Neven Marasović, Anthony Jovic, Smokrović Tatjana), owners have 10 representatives (Tomi Ramirez, Zoran Katic, Milovac Ante, Marasović Marin, Anthony Ramirez, Milovac Mary, dumbbell C., Dadić Joseph, Mary Roncevic, Trošelj Adam), other tourism-related activities directly have 2 representatives (Bušljeta Milka, Tomislav Marasović) and NP Paklenica has 1 Representative (Joseph Marasović). President of the Community pursuant to the new mayor of Starigrad Krste Ramirez. The session was verified by members of the Assembly’s mandate, adopted the Statute and Rules of Procedure of the Assembly and the elected members of the Tourism Council (Dragan Jovic, Tomislav Ramirez, dumbbell C., Tatjana Smokrović, Jolene Petricevic, Ante Milovac, Marasović Marin and Neven Sikic) and members of the Supervisory Board (Marina Vukicevic and Smiljana Marasović). For Representative in the Assembly TZO Starigrad Zadar County Tourist Board was elected Zoran Katic.
read more...Presentation of the book Miriam - a cultural phenomenon
On Friday, 22 October in Zadar and Starigradu-Paklenica will be featured book, Miriam - a cultural phenomenon, “published by the Slovenian Institute of Archaeology. The authors of these books are valuable Pleterski Andrew et al (Katja Hrobat, Radomir Juric, Mario Katic, Mario SLaus Štular Benjamin, M. and Thomas Trošelj Vinšćak).
Presentation of the book in Zadar will be held at the Ethnological department of the National Museum of Zadar, starting at 11.00am, while in Stari Grad Paklenica-books present in the small hall of the hotel Alan, starting at 18.00h.
The book is considered a representative sample mirila in southern Velebit, a unique stone monument was created in the former funeral rites Velebit population that was in use until the second half of the 20th century. Thereafter, lifestyle changes when the population moves along the coast and expanding tourism, the custom in these areas dying off but remain mirila and transmitted to us the customs, lifestyle and creating a whole of time.
Professor Andrew Pleterski currently teaches at the Department of Archaeology from the University of Ljubljana and the area of his early medieval archeology, ancient Slavic archeology, early medieval history, historical geography, mythology and computerization of archaeological resources.
This book is another proof of the value mirila as a heritage site and a further step towards the preservation and tourist valorisation mirila, a project which was launched in the Velebit area Tourist Board Starigrad.
Presentation of the book will be organized by the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the University, the National Park and TB Starigrad.
