TZO Starigrad and NP Paklenica on Natour ADRIA 2012th
TZO Starigrad and NP Paklenica participated in late April in the work of the first tourist exchange ADRIA Natour held in Croatia. It is an international tourist exchanges specializing in the active leisure.
After 3 years of maintenance in Slovenia Stock Exchange opened its doors in Croatia and was held in Mali Losinj, organized by the congress and marketing agency GO MICE from Slovenia. On this occasion, your offer of active holidays presented 25 exhibitors from Croatian, Slovenia and Montenegro. On the other hand, their interest was expressed for the proposed twenty tour of several European countries (Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Sweden, Romania and Greece). Exchange is based on direct encounters between service providers / tour operator and destination specialist for active holidays and is a great opportunity to establish new business contacts and targeted presentation of outdoor offerings.
Presentation of the book and movie Mirila
As part of this year’s Day of the Zadar County Tourist Board and the organization Starigrad in Starigrad-Paklenica monograph presented the animated movie Miriam.
The book is presented in a simple way to research the history, topography and significance of Miriam - stone memorial signs along the Velebit roads built within the former unified customs Velebit nomad herders. The book was presented by its authors, prof. Mirjana Troselj and painter Joseph Zanki. They both have many years dealing with the phenomenon mirila, each with its areas of activity. Thanks to extensive research prof. Trošelj preserved many of the data on those sites Miri who have unfortunately disappeared due to the accelerated construction of the last decade. Joseph Zanki is a multimedia artist Mirilo talked about in various forms and are caused by a number of prints and drawings, books and exhibitions, performances at home and abroad, and finally the animated film produced by Zagreb film. Review of the book gave Thomas Vinšćak while photography work of a young cameraman Peter Strmečki. The book was produced with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Zadar county and municipality Starigrad, as part of the original souvenir which complemented the overall value of the cultural tourism product Miriam. Specifically, during the past ten years Starigrad TZO is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Zadar County Tourist Board, developed a cultural tourism product Mirila which currently covers 14 sites remediated and two educational paths and associated promotional material with maps and trail descriptions. Overall aim of the project was primarily to preserve valuable and unique part of the cultural heritage of the Velebit region and improve the tourist offer of the region, particularly in segments that contribute to extending the season, which is certainly the case with mirila. Presentation of books and animated films was crowned by a short lecture dr.sc.Andreja Pleterskog with the Institute of Archaeology in Ljubljana, where last year released the first professional publication dedicated Mirilo called “Miriam-cultural phenomenon” by which mirila presented the Slovenian public. Both editions will be available in the Public Institution National Park Paklenica Starigrad-Paklenica.

First May Events in Paklenica
Paklenica is richer this year for another adventure event. With the thirteenth meeting of climbers Paklenica 2012th which is traditionally held during the first of May holidays, the 1.May will be first edition of Paklenica half marathon trek.
The race is equally intended for runners and “trekerima” as well as recreation and leisure travelers and offers the best of Paklenica - impressive canyons of Velika Paklenica and Mala. All participants will also be support for climbers who will compete in the same day for the famous “Big Wall Speed Climbing” competition in speed climbing big rocks. Competitions follow a varied program consisting of climbing competitions for children, fair outdoor equipment, lectures and concerts, festivals and outdoor movies. Information and registration:

2. Winners week Starigrad Paklenica Film Festivala
From 01-04.February 2012 Students in the Multimedia Hall Sports Centre Zagreb Week is held the winning films 2.Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival, where will be shown the best music documentary from last year’s SPFF.
During four days showing the audience will have the opportunity to see five of the most successful musical documentaries shown on 2.Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival, an international music festival of documentary film from 2010 held in Starigrad-Paklenica.

The new image brochure Riviera Paklenica
Starigrad tourist board has released a new image brochure titled Riviera Paklenica which the destination in the following years on a domestic and foreign tourist market.
The brochure is intended primarily tourist fairs at home and abroad, travel agencies and the media, the HTZ-E and RC embassies abroad and other stakeholders. Distribution of brochures is mostly done through the Croatian National Tourist Board and also due to travel about 60 fairs a year on which HTZ perform, Zadar County Tourist Board and the CA Starigrad. It was printed in an annual circulation of 12,000 copies, and in 3 language versions with a total of nine languages. The brochure presents the most important tourist destination value, especially protected natural beauty, attractive sea, mountain scenery, cultural heritage and active holidays. Already a famous tourism slogan “Where the mountains touch the sea” is complemented by a redesigned logo dedicated to the celebration of 50 years of tourism in the area of Velebit. Information of the brochures, with maps and positioning of the contacts leading tourist operators and the GPS coordinates of the area, and contains so. Bicycle race held Zadar - Paklenica
Organized cycling club Sv.Donat a mark on the National Park Paklenica last weekend was first held in Zadar bicycle race - Paklenica.
In cycling, which had participated in recreational character of the fifty cyclists of all ages, from only 12 up to 83 years, a 45 km long section from the coast in Branimir Zadar to the National Park Paklenica last for 3 hours. With representatives of Paklenica and TZO Starigrad as co-organizers cycling participants were greeted at the finish and refreshments organized by the hotel Vicko.
Paklenica is a national park, 19 October 1949, shortly after the lakes, making it the second oldest national park in Croatia. Maintenance of appropriate cycling are promoted values Paklenica, movement, healthy living and the need to preserve the environment.

Mirila won the award for most original tourist offer in Zadar County
In this year’s campaign Tourist board of Zadar and the Zadar County list that is implemented in accordance with the action of the Zadar County Blue Flower Croatian National Tourist Board award for most original and interesting tourist offer was given to Miriam.
Awards presentation ceremony was held in Zadar at Kolovare in the presence of representatives of Zadar list and Zadar County Tourist Board as the organizer, prefect of Zadar Tourist Board and President Stipe Zrilić and many travel agents.
This action is the last 10 years to encourage planning of cities and municipalities and to increase tourism competitiveness. Rewards of the arrangement as a whole and individual elements of the tourist. TZO Starigrad has so far won three awards in this action, for the best tourist information center 2009th and of 2010 and for Mirila as the most original tourist offer of this year.

5th European meeting of speleospašavatelja held in Starigrad
From the 15th to 18 September Starigradu Paklenici held the fifth European meeting speleospašavatelja, which this year organized by the Commission for speleospašavanje Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
From the 15th to 18 September Starigradu Paklenici held the fifth European meeting speleospašavatelja, which this year organized by the Commission for speleospašavanje Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
Theme of the meeting, “Testing techniques and systems in speleospašavanju”, brought together hundreds of European experts in speleospašavanju, speleoronilaca and physicians from 12 European countries. During four days, held a series of lectures, presentations, and testing equipment and techniques used in speleospašavanju, with the aim of exchanging experiences, knowledge and techniques and the application of modern technical achievements in speleospašavanju.
The decision was made on establishing the European speleospašavateljskog Association, held its first international meeting on the specifics speleoronilačkog rescue and arranged the first international exercise Cave in France next year. A set of experienced physicians who participate in rescue operations in caves for the first time, his conclusions about specific medical conditions in speleospašavanja and the need for tight international cooperation to exchange experiences and potential joint actions in case of major accidents. The group voted on the desire and need for the continuation of this form of exchange of experiences and the next meeting scheduled for the fall of the 2012th also in France.
