Podgora is fishing and tourist village with harbor on the southeast from the Makarska. Podgora has a original part (at the hill side) and new part at coast. Lot of fountains of drink water and healthy fountain Klokun make Podgora famous. In the village and in the surrounding is a large vegetation and on the coast are beautiful beaches. Podgora offer great opportunities for sports and recreation. In Podgora is lot of cultural and entertainment during the summer season. The memory (the shape of the bird’s wings) reminds the establishment of first guerilla marine unit during the occupation in years 1941 - 1945.
